We’re sorry but while this car may still be available, this ad had expired.

This is a 1970 Oldsmobile 442 project. It retains the original numbers matching engine and transmission (Turbo 400 with performance 11in converter)
It is documented in the VIN number as VIN begins with '344'. This VIN sequence is for 442 and W30 442'S only.
This car has been off the road for 15-20 years, I purchased it about a year and a half ago. I have collected some new parts for the car - New W-30 hood, New GM restoration deck lid with W-30 Spoiler, New Cold Case aluminum Radiator, NOS Fan shroud, New GM stamped upper and lower radiator hoses, New stainless trans lines made by Inline Tubes, The car has Wheel Vintiques Rallys - 15x7 in the front, 15x10 in the rear. Complete exhaust is with the car minus the mufflers (used), Oldsmobile 12 bolt with large rear sway bar.
The interior is rough but original bucket seats with his and hers Hurst Shifter from the factory. It has a sport steering wheel. Pretty close to running, needs probably another day or so on it. I thought I would list it as it is. These cars are pretty rare and extremely valuable when done - not many left with numbers matching engine.

The engine was rebuilt prior to me getting the car, probably has 5 or 6 thousand miles of runtime. I partially disassembled it to inspect it - this is what I found.
The block was bored .30 with TRW Forged pistons
Head studs and main studs
Moroso Oil Pan and pick up
Rod beams were polished with new bolts (resized)
Rotating assembly was balanced
Heads were professionally worked, stainless valves, ported and converted to adjustable rockers.
Roller rockers with performance push rods.
Engle hydraulic flat tappet cam
Torker Intake manifold

Great project for the right guy. The car does have rust in the floors (foot wells) there is a picture of the rust in the trunk. It appears to have one paint job over the original. The quarters have rust. The firewall and inner and outer rockers are very good. I am not a body man but that's the best way I can describe it. There are a pair of after-market floor pans that I was going to use to cut up for patch. The have been stored outdoors so they have surface rust - buyer may or may not want them. I would say that this car is 95% complete. Take a look at the pictures, ask questions.
The car will need to be towed, not running.
