We’re sorry but while this car may still be available, this ad had expired.

I have for sale my "1970 Cutlass SX" with a great running non-matching correct "390621F" 455 engine. This is a true triple Black car. I have owned this vehicle for 10 years. I threw a rod with the original 455 engine when I was in the military in Aberdeen, Maryland. I then bought this great 455 engine from a gentleman in Maryland who had already rebuilt it and it sounds and runs great. I truly mean the engine/exhaust sounds great. I have no papers to prove the engine rebuild. I also believe this car might be a rare W32 car also. Why? Because my mechanic said it had the "OG" transmission and they only came in the 442, W32 cars. I'm not claiming it to be a W32 though. I started restoring the mechanicals of the car and was planning to move onto the body and paint next. I have not progressed with the car the way I should have due to a busy life so I think its time to let it go to another home. New front shocks, brake pads, factory style aluminum radiator, exhaust, rubber brake lines, front bushings, rebuilt carb, and other parts that I can't think of at the moment. My car is in the SX 455 registry although I'm no longer an active member. The car is a true triple black car with loads of options (see below). The mechanicals are great, but it need some minor body restoration such as the inside corners of both quarters, very small patch needed only, left lower fender. All the floors are in great condition, and trunk floor is solid with a couple small minor holes if I remember correctly. Still have the true factory type 442 cut-out bumpers (and original trumpet tips. Both bumpers need rechromed. The roof is solid and the picture shows dried glue and surface rust only. There is a small amount of surface rust around the base of the vinyle top where the panel meets from the base of the window to the beginning of the trunk area. . .. nothing major. Any trim that's not seen in pictures are in the trunk. The Hood is rusty and cracked a bit underside where the underside hood latch is located. The trunklid is a bit rusty where the underside key area is located at and across (I have acquired another hood and trunk lid that will be included in the sale, along with another front bumber (need rechorme). I have the new lower carpet for the two front door panels. All the door panels and dash is in great shape (enterior only need headliner and seats recovered). This is a great car to drive while you restore and will be beautiful and rare when finished. The car has been garaged 90% of its life and paint and residue was spilled all over it from sitting in a paint shop over 10 years ago. I have a clear Maryland title, owners manual and sleeve, a copy of the broadcast card with a few of the options but I can't find the build sheet. Also have a copy of the previous state title before Maryland. I start the car up about every other month or so and pull it out the garage and back in. Obviously its not perfect and needs some restoration but well worth the asking price. I will only consider a trade for a 1968-1972 El Camino/Ranchero, 1968-1971 442, GS 455, Grand Prix, Torino GT, Mach 1, GTO. Thanks, and happy Bidding.
