Ad Description
A wonderful more than driver quality example of Oldsmobile's versatile Cutlass station wagon, originally sold and maintained in Van Nuys California until arriving here on the East Coast in 2001 where it was minimally driven for 18 years and primarily stored by an Oldsmobile collector and aficianado who owned a gorgeous number of others.
Powered by a 310 h/p+ , 350 cubic inch V8 with a four barrel Quadrajet carburetor and coupled to a Turbo 350 three speed automatic transmission.
Pretty much rust free, and refinished in its original two stage Saffron paint at some point in the past, it shows and runs very nicely.
Dual action rear tail gate with a powered roll down window, and fold down second seat providing for great access and carrying capacity. Its original interior upholstery with the exception of the front bench seat, is almost flawless as is the headliner, door panels and carpet.
Nicely serviced and recommissioned with brand new 215/75/14 Hankook Kinergy St radial whitewall tires with a tread wear, traction and control ratings of 680, A, and A respectively.
Nicely equipped with tinted glass, brand new door NOS weather strippingn recently installed, extra trim parts, air conditioning, (needs to be serviced and switched to 134 freon )upgraded radio (I have its original) and much more. The original sales documents from Van Nuys California Kirby Oldsmobile, owners manual, and registrations are included.
Its functioning speedometer odometers indicated mileage is 62,282, and believed to be original, however cannot be conclusively verified given its 52 years of age. The Oldsmobile will be sold as true mileage unknown with a clear Massachusetts title and as is, where is with no warranty expressed or implied.
This is a lovely Oldsmobile that you can be proud to own and drive.
The pre 1970 higher horsepower American cars and wagons should be, and are now considered investment grade, escalating in value annually.
"This is not your father's Oldsmobile" as was first advertised by William Shatner, aka, Captain Kirk representing Oldsmobile, with the newly designed Oldsmobile Cutlass.
These pre emission h/p robbing, pre 1970 classic station wagons are progressively becoming more collectible and harder to find.
