Oldsmobile 442

For sale is my 1971 Oldsmobile 442 w30 4 speed 2 dr hard top for $28,900. It is the original Bittersweet color. It is a very nice driver quality car! This is one of the nicest driving cars that I have ever owned. It has Power Steering, all the instrument gauges not idiot lights, Tach w/clock, Manual Disc brakes (only way w30 4-spd cars came) You could only get Power Brakes on cars with automatics! Car had an OFF FRAME restoration and engine/drivetrain rebuilt.

The Good - I have the original Broadcast card that states that it is a real w30. All new Legendary interior including the door panels. Very strong 1969 455 engine w/E heads. Has original w455 intake manifold. Also have the original 1971 w30 block that R&R checked out as good - goes with the car! Rear axle ratio was changed from 3.42 to 3.08 - much better for driving especially on the hiway. This engine is very strong and because of the mass amount of torque you can hardly tell the difference.

The transmission is a 4 speed (m20 now) and the rear end is not numbers matching but both were freshly rebuilt and work fantastic. This car was believed to be an old drag car!

There were only a Total of 920 Olds 442 w30 cars made in 1971 here is the breakdown:
110 - convertibles
563 - 2 door HT with Automatic
247 - 2 door HT with 4 speed

There seems to be a lot more w30's out there than were actually produced. Unless you have a Build Sheet or Broadcast Card - There is no way of proving it's authenticity! Vary rare and collectable car!!! Value will only go up!!!
