Oldsmobile Cutlass
I am looking to sell my all original 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass Sedan that has only seen 71,460 miles over the course of 46 years after first rolling off the factory floor. This is a Third Generation Cutlass (1968-1972) and has been garage kept its entire life. It hasn't been driven as a primary car for over 25 years and through that time hasn't been on the road in anything but warm summer weather.
The paint color of the car is Cameo White and the paint is original and still in pretty great shape. The car is accented by multiple chrome strips running down the car lengthwise, around the doors, and along the bottom of both sides of the car. Both the front and rear bumpers are chrome and they are also in pretty great shape. The interior color of the car is Viking Blue and is accented by faux wood inlays on the dash, doors, and steering wheel. The car also has both front and rear bench seats which provide for plenty of room and comfort. The rear bench seat has one minor tear and the rear window deck has sustained some sun-fading over the years.
Under the hood the car sports a 350 cubic inch (5.7 L) "Rocket" V8 engine with a 2-barrel carburetor. It starts without any hesitation and rumbles at a beautiful idle. To drive this powerful engine, the car is equipped with a Turbo Hydra-Matic 350 three speed transmission and the shifter is on the column.
The car is sitting on staggered Cragar SS wheels and Goodyear Eagle ST tires. The rear wheels are 15 inch and the front wheels are 14 inch. The original wheels will also be included with the car and they are 14 inch with Douglas Xtra-Trac II tires, and the original Oldsmobile hub caps.
I am only the fourth owner of this American beauty and my grandfather was the third. To make the story even better, the car was originally purchased in July of 1971 from the Oldsmobile dealership in southwestern PA that my grandfather worked at.
Other than general maintenance parts (battery, spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap, rotor cap, points, brakes, rotors, and muffler) the car is all original. It even still has the original windshield with the radio antenna contained in and running down the center of the glass.
