Ad Description
Real deal 1970 442 (4487 vin designation) Factory ram air hood, built original 455 & Turbo 400, shift kit, 1800 rpm stall, 440hp/500ft lbs of torque, original 3.23 posi rear, 4-wheel disc brakes (factory front, rear added). Never wrecked, has been well cared for it's entire life, matching numbers (stamps on engine block & transmission match vin tag). Extremely solid/dry car, only driven in nice weather. $8k invested in professional engine/transmission build with approx 15k miles since. It runs excellent & pulls like a W-30 if not harder. Drives and handles great, especially with the 442 heavy duty suspension, front/rear sway bars & quick ratio power steering. Nice combination that is very docile to drive and runs down the highway effortlessly. I have all documentation for work done including engine dyno sheets. Most importantly, I have the car's original factory build sheet intact & completely legible which I removed from top of gas tank, proving authenticity & solidifying it's value. Extra original parts are included such as: air cleaner, intake, rear drum brakes, booster/master cylinder, valve covers, exhaust heat shroud, spare & jack, etc. Pearl white interior is excellent, all original except newer carpet. Owned for last 9 years, clear WA title in my name. This is a fantastic 442 that gets an overwhelming amount of attention everywhere it goes. The black paint was done about 25 years ago so don't expect show quality, it has flaws yet is quite presentable. Was originally special order Rally Red (like Chevrolet Hugger Orange). Many Olds collectors consider the 70 442 to be the peak of performance & styling and it's easy to see why. Please check Hagerty valuation and see that this is priced VERY fair in #3 condition, no lowball offers will be entertained whatsoever so don't bother! No trades considered. No negotiating price over the phone, you need to see it in person. I will accept cash only.
