Oldsmobile Cutlass SX
1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass SX Convertible
74,000 Original Miles
This is believed to be 1 of 357 extremely rare Cutlass SX Convertibles produced in 1971 which has been fully restored in its original antique jade color. The SX cars were equipped much the same as the coveted 442 with a 455 cubic inch engine and famous Y79 cut out bumper for the beautiful stainless trumpet exhaust tips. This car is equipped with a non-numbers matching 1970 442 spec 455 (365 HP 500 ft. lbs. torque). It is originally a highly optioned car including jade green bucket seats, power steering, power disc brakes, power convertible top and air conditioning. Paint/Body:
The car received a very high quality professional dual stage repaint in the original antique jade color (approximately 2001). The original body panels are extremely straight and replacement quarter panels were professionally installed during the restoration process. I am meticulous when it comes to paint and body work and have judged at shows. I would rate this paint currently as an 8.5 if you consider a 10 a flawless concours quality paint job. It does have a few minor chip touch ups however shines in the sun like it was just recently restored. The hood is a fully functional fiberglass W-25 Ram Air unit. The chrome and stainless all show nicely and have just been machine polished. Prior owner took a best in show at a Mid Atlantic AACA judged event. It is not a trailer queen but is way nicer than the average daily driver quality cars seen at many shows.
The trunk is highly detailed with a matching Super Stock II spare wheel with an original Firestone bias ply tire.
The car comes with an extremely high-quality California Car Cover brand cover
