Oldsmobile Hurst Olds
1984 was the last full year of production for this classic. No other full production car after the Hurst Olds was ever offered with the Hurst "Lightning Rod" triple-tree shifter as a factory-installed option. According to the Hurst Olds Club of America, this one is #2683 of the 3500 built, production date of February 16, 1984.
The majority were produced with T tops, and cloth interiors. This one has a sunroof as well as vinyl upholstery which puts it in the "not often seen" category. Unfortunately, Oldsmobile didn't keep accurate records as to the number of specific options produced, however some online sites have speculated that less than 300 came equipped with these features. Regardless of the total, this is one of 3500 produced 34 years ago so it's getting harder to find them in any capacity and this one is in great condition. Other options include power windows, power door locks, 6 way drivers power seat, power trunk release, delay wipers, tilt wheel, A/C, cruise control, and more. Recent headliner replacement, steering box, heater fan, S10 blazer 12 inch front brakes, and re-covered front seats make this a no-brainer purchase. Body is in great shape, paint is about 8 years old, interior shows well. The power train is solid and includes the original transmission and rear end, which the previous owner put a 373 positraction chuck into. It currently has a strong running 307 roller cam engine in it, which I am told is from an 86 - 90 442. I have the original 307 for it, (pulled by the previous owner because it was ticking when hot), as well as a spare cloth interior that goes with it.
